Won comprehensive Nursing Home Reform Legislation, raising staffing minimums in nursing homes dramatically;

Developed the White Crane Senior Wellness Center dedicated to preventive healthcare for older adults;

Won an agreement from the state of Illinois to spend $2 million to help healthy seniors move out of nursing homes;

Led campaigns to raise the asset limit for the Community Care Program from $10,000 to $17,500, allowing more than 1,600 additional seniors to receive homecare services; and

Led state-wide campaign that won passage of House Bill 652 that will create concrete improvements in the Community Care Program and allow seniors to age in their own homes.
