MORE WAYS TO GIVE

RETIREMENT ACCOUNT
REQUIRED MANDATORY DISTRIBUTION

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

The 2015 qualified charitable distribution rule has changed the laws about retirement account distributions.

Previously at age 70.5 you were required to withdraw a minimum amount from any IRA (not Roth IRA) and Employer-sponsored retirement holdings.

Now you can have all or part of this distribution transferred directly from your IRA to a qualified charity (we suggest Jane Addams Senior Caucus!) - up to $100,000 per taxpayer per year.

While these contributions are not classified as a tax-deductible charitable gift, you will be spared paying income tax on this distribution.

For more information, please contact Lilly Lerner at Lilly@seniorcaucus.org.
